Who Am I by Rodney E. Reyes

Directed by Shawn Banerjee

Stage Managed by Ben Gerrish

This Production of Who Am I is presented by TAG (Theatre Arts Group)

Lillian Garcia (Mother) Lillian Garcia graduated Rutgers University Newark after double majoring in Criminal Justice and Sociology in the Spring of 2008. Also minoring in Theatre Arts, Lillian indulged a passion for acting by participating in the Rutgers Newark Theatre Program playing in Urinetown as a Street Urchin, and in ROAD as Claire and Dor. Now, as a case manager for male parolees in Newark, NJ, for Lillian being able to participate in this production is more than an indulgence. It has become a welcome release and a sincere pleasure to be a part of Who Am I.

Jalak Jani (May) was born in Edison, New Jersey and is the older of two children. She is currently a freshman at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is majoring in Biology. Mrs. Catherine Lamoreaux introduced her onto the theater stage in her freshman year of high school. She lived in South Brunswick Township for five years after moving from Franklin Township in the 8th grade. She has barely gotten her feet wet in the theater world, having very little experience. She performed in a Murder Mystery in her freshman year of high school along with directing a couple plays for her theater class. This is her first legitimate performance and she hopes more will come her way after this great experience.

Sam Glovin (Girl) is a senior at Rutgers-Newark majoring in TV and Media Arts and minoring in Women's Studies. She has been involved in theater scene since she was a freshman and is so excited to be doing her first production with TAG.

Derek Badichek (God) is thrilled to be able to say that he is literally “playing God.” This has been a long standing dream of his for quite sometime. Derek has been part of the Rutgers-NJIT theatre program for two years and has enjoyed being in all shows during that period, these include, most recently Autobahn, Sweeney Todd, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, Hell Hath No Fury, Our Lady of 121st Street, Pippin, Dreamers, and Hot L. Baltimore. This is Derek’s first and final performance for TAG, as well as his last show in the program as a student, and he wishes to express the deepest gratitude for everyone involved in his experience, especially Tami Gebhardt and David Hasselhoff, without whom he would not be who he is today. When not concerning himself with Academia, Derek enjoys sunsets, long walks on crisp autumn days and routinely treating his shrunken head collection… Avatar sucks.

Jonathan Noto (Marv) is in his second year at Rutgers University. He's just

finished his roles in Autobahn (segments Autobahn and Road Trip) and

Sweeney Todd (Mr. Fogg). He's a Theater major who plans to finish his

degree within the next year and start his career as an actor. Acting

and theater has been his ambition for as long as he can remember, and

with each role he does, he becomes more and more certain that the

stage is his calling.

Janelle Zapata  (Daughter) is a theatre major at Rutgers Newark. She has been involved in theatre since the ripe old age of seven where she played a munchkin in The Wizard of Oz, and can't imagine being happy doing anything else. She most recently acted in plays such as Autobahn, The Brother's Grimm Spectaculathon, Medea, and Our Lady of 121st Street. She wants to especially thank her theatre family for being there for everything, and every director who has ever cast her in anything for believing in her. She hopes to have never let them down.

Eric Campos (Guy) is a current rutgers newark theater arts major. It is his first year pursuing acting and he enjoy every minute. He has been in the productions of Hell Hath No Fury, Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, and recently finished Autobahn.  He is excited and grateful to be in the TAG production of Who Am I.
